Prodigy coffee is more than just a coffee house, it's a artisan crafted experience. Whether you have the privilege of indulging the time to take in your surroundings as your masterpiece in a cup is served or if you simply treat yourself to that take away cup, the result is the same a moment of clarity. Elegant, Excellent, Exquisite.
The vibe of this place is chic. Aestically Prodigy is clean, fresh and sustainable. Good customer service.
The coffee is divine
The cake selection is decadent.
I like the fact that there is a myriad of payment options available too.
My only issue is the fact that I was mad aware of the meal offer on arrival.
The coffee, the people, the atmosphere; these are my favourite reasons to spend my time at Prodigy. If I'm needing a space to comfortably work and be inspired, have meetings or even catch-up with friends, this is my go-to spot.
In terms of Prodigy's get-going juice, the almond milk flat-white is my personal favourite, and I'm honestly unable to compare it with any other coffee house in Durban. I'm no critic, but I know when coffee tastes great. Its milk is always perfectly dense and the bean perfectly roasted, with a flavour that somehow tastes like home.
To top it off, every order is served with optimism and smiles from the incredible humans that work here. The staff at Prodigy are extraordinarily welcoming and friendly, with a comfortable serving time and fine serving etiquette.
The dream-like atmosphere is created through an outside seating area with gorgeous corner couches and working tables, that leads into the interior filled with leafy decor and golden details. Let's not forget the gorgeous crushed velvet couch on the inside of the coffee house. The cafe neighbours an interior retail, SHF, and walking through the beautiful space to the restroom is a treat in itself. Pair these visual spoils with consistent lo-fi music throughout, and Prodigy is sensory utopia; the exact platform needed to crush any deadline or wind down and make memories.
These are my favourite reasons to spend time at Prodigy - what are yours? Perhaps it's time to pop by and find out.
PS: They are launching a new breakfast menu, too. (As if you'd need any more of a reason to swing by.)
